Nov 27, 2020 · I didn't pay attention at first, but my ESS stopped working and voltage was a constant 14.7V. Dealer charged battery and said problem fixed, voltage down to 14.2V and ESS working. Slowly started creeping back up, 14.5V , and ESS stopped working. Back to dealer had it again for an entire day, just charged the battery.

So long story short, my auxiliary battery (didn't know I had one on my Jeep) died out and caused strain on my alternator which in turn caused a short in the fuse box and I am now looking at a $300 repair. Now the long story. I took my JL to the dealership a week ago because I've noticed my Jeep was not stopping and starting as before.I am a little annoyed at the second battery in the JL.
