Hp envy 6055e connect to wifi

The printer is an HP ENVY 6055e. I had no problems on the previous router as it was dual band but had the seperate 2.4g and 5 g bands. The new router I received from my ISP ran both bands simultaneously and it would not connect. I bought my own router to have the seperate bands and it still will not connect.
